Fred Gromalak, DVM

Dr. Gromalak has been performing ultrasounds and echocardiograms since graduating veterinary school in 2017.

During his free time, Dr. Gromalak enjoys traveling, boating, playing softball, and attending concerts of all kinds. He lives in Wisconsin with his wife and kids.

Kim Liedberg,

VTS

Kim graduated from the Technical School of Medicine in Naperville Illinois in 2004 as a human sonographer in vascular and general ultrasound.

She lives in Walworth Wisconsin with her husband and two dogs, Jaxon and Bear.

Sarah Pender,

CVT

Sarah joined SVS Imaging in 2019 after having a growing interest in ultrasonography. Sarah graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in 2002 with an Associates of Applied Science. 

Sarah lives in the Quad Cities with her 2 daughters, several cats, a Chihuahua Mix, Gus, and a Shih Tzu, Mini.

Erika Froeming, CVT

Erika joined SVS Imaging in 2024 as a clinical sonographer after a successful 15-year career with a veterinary distribution company. Her experience in veterinary imaging sales sparked her passion for sonography, building on a foundation that began as a kennel attendant, progressed to veterinary assistant, and culminated in her certification as a CVT. Erika is dedicated to advancing in-clinic diagnostic imaging, partnering with veterinary teams to make cutting-edge care more accessible. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband, son, and animals on their farmette, along with paddlesports, camping, and habitat management.

Jen Suman,

RVT

Jen is a dedicated veterinary professional with over 20 years of experience in emergency, specialty, and general practice medicine. A graduate of the Veterinary Technology program at Maple Woods in 2008, she honed her skills in anesthesia, ICU, and ultrasound while working in Mission, Kansas, and later at Kansas State Veterinary Health Center. In 2021, Jen attended The Academy of Veterinary Imaging, solidifying her passion for veterinary sonography. Based in Kansas City, she enjoys traveling, camping, and cheering on local sports teams alongside her husband, Steve, and their beloved pets—Jasper, Josie, Rusty, and Dexter.

Laura Kutka,

CVT

In 2004, Laura earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Natural Resources and Biology from Northland College. After college, she worked as the lead veterinary technician at a primary care veterinary practice. Over the 19 years at this practice, she became Certified and learned about many Eastern medicine approaches, including physical rehabilitation, acupuncture, and Chinese herbs. 

Laura is passionate about aiding to strengthen the human-animal bond by helping to bring veterinary diagnostics to a greater audience. Outside of the professional setting, Laura’s favorite time is spent with her husband and two children. She enjoys fishing, hunting, and sustainably managing their farm. She shares her home and heart with 4 dogs, 4 cats, and a rabbit.
