FULL BIO

Jessica began her career in human medicine in 2000 as a receptionist/office manager with internal medicine, radiology and gynecology. In 2003, her hatchling Sulcata Tortoise developed a mild upper respiratory infection, and the veterinarian offered her a job on the spot during the appointment. She graduated from Macomb Community College with an Associates of Applied Science and began her career as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2014. Her role in veterinary medicine has grown over the last few decades and she now enjoys working behind the scenes to support patients, clients, and the team of talented individuals at SVS Imaging.

Outside of work, Jessica happily manages her homestead that includes a flock of hens, several aquatic turtles, an Akita named Keller, a Great Pyrenees named Zillah, the previously mentioned Sulcata Tortoise named Johari, and an expansive property with gardens and orchards. She grows, preserves and saves seeds for a substantial amount of the food shared with the animals, and her husband of 24 years, Jeff. She is passionate about pollinator protection and native plants, and spends as much time as possible in the woods and nearby beaches of Lake Michigan.
