SVS Imaging is a mobile ultrasound service serving veterinarians in Kansas City and surrounding areas.

Jen Suman is our lead sonographer covering the Kansas City Area for SVS Imaging.

SVS Imaging is owned and operated by Dr. Fred Gromalak and was founded in March 2018. Dr. Fred Gromalak runs the mobile team in Wisconsin, Illinois, Quad Cities, Kansas City, Detroit and Western Michigan.

We provide the ability to perform ultrasounds of any type, including echocardiograms that are interpreted by board-certified cardiologists. We pride ourselves on not only providing high-quality imaging with the most up-to-date mobile imaging equipment but also our extensive experience in ultrasound.  
 
We are able to see your patient typically within the same week, and sometimes even within 24 hours of your request, or at your client’s convenience. When we arrive at your hospital, we are typically in and out within 30 minutes. We have on-site access to board-certified cardiologists, radiologists, internists, and criticalists to fit your desired diagnostic need.

Jen is a dedicated veterinary professional with over 20 years of experience in emergency, specialty, and general practice medicine. A graduate of the Veterinary Technology program at Maple Woods in 2008, she honed her skills in anesthesia, ICU, and ultrasound while working in Mission, Kansas, and later at Kansas State Veterinary Health Center. In 2021, Jen attended The Academy of Veterinary Imaging, solidifying her passion for veterinary sonography. Based in Kansas City, she enjoys traveling, camping, and cheering on local sports teams alongside her husband, Steve, and their beloved pets—Jasper, Josie, Rusty, and Dexter.

Sarah always tries to make herself readily available and we can often schedule her coming to our clinic within a very quick timeline. The turnaround time to get the report from the radiologist is very quick as well. My clients are very happy that we can go from scheduling an ultrasound to getting results often within 24 to 48 hours. The images she captures and the accurate interpretation of them have been invaluable. The reports are detailed and helpful, often providing suggestions of further testing, and doses of medications that may help my patient's condition as well.
