What to Expect

This immersive, one-day training focuses on building confidence, consistency, and efficiency in ultrasound scanning.

Training includes:

  • Ultrasound knobology and machine optimization

  • Accurate image acquisition and measurement techniques

  • A structured scanning protocol that is easy to memorize and repeat

  • Real-time feedback and coaching during live scans

  • Customized instruction based on your goals and current challenges

Training can be tailored to abdominal ultrasound or echocardiography.

Training Details

  • Format: In-clinic, hands-on training
  • Attendees: 1-3 staff members
  • Hours: Typically 8am-5pm
  • Available Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday
  • CE Credits: 8 hours
  • Cost: $2,400 (plus travel fees if applicable)

  • One exam room reserved for the full day
  • A total of 5 healthy, fasted pets
  • Pets will need to be shaved and sedated
  • Ultrasound machine with appropriate probes

Four years ago, I learned to scan major abdominal organs as a beginner. Returning for a refresher course, I focused on the gastrointestinal tract and smaller structures. Familiarity with the protocol helped me learn advanced skills quickly, and I gained valuable new knowledge.
